Thanks for coming today, now go hug your dog!
Any idea what breed(s) this puppy is? He/she looks EXACTLY like my puppy and we can't figure out what she is. We assume she is a lab mix, but we have no clue what she's mixed with. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a Catahoula Leopard Dog :)
DeleteThis looks exactly like our puppy. I know this post is kinda old but for those of you that are inquiring we think our pup is a Fila brasileiro aka Brazilian Mastiff.
DeleteNot sure about the breed, actually. I suspect some sort of hound... you might want to try The Dog Forum for help identifying your puppy. The link is in the sidebar on the left.
ReplyDeleteTedrow, the pup looks just like my mystery mutt puppy too. Did you ever find out what the dog is?
ReplyDeleteTreeing Tennessee Brindle maybe.
ReplyDeletei have this exact same dog and we are confused about what she really is when we bought her they told us she was a akita but we are beginning to really wonder. so i am just wondering if you have figured out what she is
ReplyDeleteWell if your puppy looks like this one it is defently NOT an akita.Their heads are much broader and they have a lot more fur!
DeleteI think it's a Catahula Leopard Dog :)
wow...............i have a puppy that looks exactly the same and four people have told us its a pitbull..........but still not sure...if anyone knows, please post..ty
ReplyDeleteI have a puppy who is 8 months old and looks just like this puppy. His mother was lab boxer mix, and his dad was a beagle.
ReplyDeletehow big do they get because i have one as well
ReplyDeleteMy puppy looks exaaaaaaaaaaactly like that.
ReplyDeleteshes boxer/mastiff/king shepherd/ bluetick hound.
this is EXACTLY the dog i want! still no idea on the breed?
ReplyDeletei have one that looked like that when she was a puppy i still have no clue what she is, when we payed bail to get her out of doggy jail the papers said she was a lab mix but with what?
ReplyDeleteshe is always sniffing everywhere she steps i mean everywhere
she uses her front paws like they r going away ( for everything)
shes a jumper too
has anyone figured out the breed?
I think it's a Catahula Leopard Dog :)
DeleteOk people, the dog is a Tennessee treeing brindle. They get around 55 lbs. And make great family pets as well as hunting dogs. They decend from the plot hound and the black amd tan. Bread to be a bit smaller with the same great traits.
ReplyDeleteI have one that looks just like her and I was told that she is a Catahoula Leopard Hound.
ReplyDeleteI have a similar looking dog.. Same black snout (mine has a small white spot at the tip just before the actual wet nose), White chest, HUGE paws. difference is mine is not as dark brown, much lighter color. but same thick brindle look.
ReplyDeleteMine is a 50% Black Lab (mother) and 50% American Bulldog (father) mix. Both parents were purebreds.
The only way you'll ever really know what yours specifically really is is to take a saliva sample and send it in. Its kind of expensive, but for a dog as pretty as that one, it might be worth it.
We have a puppy that looks like her, We were told she was an asutrialian shepered mix, Just not sure what she is mixed with. Good luck with her searches to figure out the breeds.
ReplyDeleteWe also just adopted a puppy that looks like this one (slightly lighter in colour)- we were told her dad was a lab/boxer and her mom was a shepherd/collie (we did not see the parents as we rescued her. The first thing the vet said last night was "i do not see any boxer in her - i see Australian shepherd. She is defiantly an ozzie mix".... ????either wau she's a beautiful puppy.
ReplyDeleteI don't think ther's ANY ozzie in her (if she looks like that one).
DeleteAustralian Shepherds are never brindle nor and their had is broader and they have more fur ^^
I think it's a Catahula Leopard Dog :)
Its a chiuaua
ReplyDeleteI have a puppy who is a few weeks old and she is an Australian Shepherd/ maybe Collie (father) and Brindle Pitbull (mother) mutt. She's nice and friendly but have ALOT of pitbul characteristics. Very energetic and not to mention, I seen her sisters and they look even more like a Brindle Pitbul with deep depth!
ReplyDeleteVery awesome!!! When I seek for this I found this website at the top of all blogs in search engine. blue dog food reviews
