Dog Pictures: Smooth Haired Standard Fox Terrier Dog In A Top Hat!

Now I've gotta tell you right up front, I can't guarantee that I'm right on the breed this time. I mean, it's obviously a small breed dog, and sure looks like a terrier to me. When I went searching images online, Smooth Haired Standard Fox Terrier is what I came up with. Should it be miniature also? Or is this the standard size for this handsome little puppy dog? The white color with brown patches seems to match.

Either way, for being small breed, he sure looks like he can hold his own. As if the top hat weren't jaunty enough, closer inspection reveals he is wearing a BOW TIE as well! I love it! Dog Pictures: English or Old Time Farm Shepherd Meets Whippet or Greyhound

Honestly, I have got to remember to ask more questions when I meet these pretty dogs! The one on the left is either an English Shepherd, or an Old Time Farm Shepherd... I think. I went through a long list of dog breed photos to try to figure out which it is. And the same goes for the other dog in this photograph, which I believe is either a Greyhound or a Whippet. It's a very thin dog just the same.

They were certainly working hard to make friends at the moment that I snapped this shot. Both handsome dogs to be sure, but I prefer the shepherd on the left. If any of you visitors knows for sure which breeds these dogs are, please leave a comment. Thanks!

Dog Pictures: Cute Little Bernese Mountain Dog Puppy

How about taking this little guy home? That is one very cute Bernese Mountain Dog puppy standing with his owner. Who's legs are the hairier? :)

I have to admit, if I had the right place for it, I would take this cute little puppy dog home in a second. But then, that's why they are so cute, right, to make sure we want to take them home? Haha.

According to Wikipedia, the Bernese Mountain Dog is also known as the Berner Sennenhund in Swiss German. They are also called Berner, Bernese, and The Little Bear of Switzerland. Cute, eh? These dogs were used to pull small carts and wagons in Switzerland. As you can imagine, that means this dog definitely qualifies as a large breed dog, and a working dog!

Dog Pictures: Can You Say Dalmatian? Hi Spot!

See Spot. See Spot run. Run Spot run! Anybody else remember stuff like that? I wish I had some of those old readers from grade school. What a hoot. I have to admit, there are times when I wish life were that simple still. I found an interesting article about the Dick and Jane books being published again. Wouldn't that be fun.

What a pretty dog this is. Looking a little tired or bored, but still, a really neat looking Dalmatian dog, standing near his owner, wondering when it will be time to eat again! His left front paw is taped a bit, and I hope it was minor and healed fast!

According to the Wikipedia Dalmatian entry, the country of origin of these beautiful dogs is the region of Dalmatia in the Republic of Croatia. It sounds like the earliest references to Dalmatians me be as old as 1792! Wow!
